Variety is here to make life better for New Zealand children who have special needs and challenges in life.
Since 1992, Countdown has been a principal sponsor of Variety, with coin collection boxes at checkouts to help raise funds throughout the year. But that's not all.
In 2008, Countdown customers gave over $128,000 to Variety's Annual Appeal. Funds raised went to support Variety's Gold Heart Scholarship programme, which provides grants for talented Kiwi kids with special needs. Their generosity will help children reach their long-term goals in music, the arts, sport and education.
