Smart shoppers join Richard Till for Christmas Club celebrations
On 9 December Countdown, Foodtown and Woolworths' ultimate smart shopper, Richard Till will be celebrating Christmas early with supermarket customers.
Richard will visit five Auckland Countdown and Foodtown stores to spread some Christmas cheer, share smart summer holiday tips and Christmas treats, as well as helping to pack your bags and get you ready for Christmas.
This year for the first time Christmas Club is being celebrated throughout the day and Countdown, Foodtown and Woolworths' supermarkets. This means that you can enjoy a range of one-day specials and learn more about how to join Christmas Clubs in the future.
Christmas Club's have had a significant increase in membership over the past year, and anecdotally this is thought to have a direct correlation to the recession and people wanting to be prepared for Christmas.
"Shoppers who buy Christmas Club vouchers each time they do their weekly shop are not only making sure they have planned for the anticipated increased seasonal expense, but they are also taking advantage of the 5% discount that is offered to Christmas Club members throughout December and January," says Progressive Enterprises General Manager Operations, Dave Chambers.
"So, if you want to pick up some tips for a classic Kiwi Christmas ad make the most of our Christmas Club Day, then join Richard at your local supermarket," says Dave.

- 5.00pm-6.00pm Countdown Botany
