Our Distribution Centres
Progressive Enterprises supplies all its supermarkets from its grocery and general merchandise distribution centres located in Auckland, Palmerston North and Christchurch. These centres range in size from 12,500m2 to 60,000m2 and, in the case of Auckland, operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Produce benefits from a dedicated system to ensure total focus on freshness. Freshmax, as third party logistics operators, manage our produce distribution via centres in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. Each centre has Quality Assurance programmes in place to ensure only the highest standard of produce reaches our supermarkets and customers. Produce is sourced from suppliers all around New Zealand and some local purchasing is done from regional suppliers where possible.
Chilled and frozen products are stored and distributed by our third party logistics operator Versacold. Versacold distributes goods from Auckland, Palmerston North and Christchurch.
All transport from our distribution centres to stores is contracted to third party providers.
