The Logistics team is tasked with ensuring that all our supermarkets receive their produce, meat and groceries, in full and on time every day, in every store across New Zealand. This amazing "behind the scenes" operation is carried out by over 750 dedicated team members based in Auckland, Palmerston North and Christchurch.

It all starts with our Replenishment team, the vital link between our buyers and Distribution Centres.  Replenishment involves planning, scheduling, and ordering to ensure the right quantities of groceries are sourced from vendors to be placed into our Distribution Centres (DCs) ready for dispatch to supermarkets. It's a careful balancing act that requires a good knowledge of retail buying, operations and systems.

Our DCs are the "engine room" supporting our stores and their role is to receive, store and dispatch fresh food and groceries to our supermarkets just in time for our customers. Careers range from receiving and dispatch clerks through to forklift drivers, order selectors, team leaders and shift managers. There are also key support roles such as HR, Safety and Business analysts.   If you love action-packed hustle and bustle, then DC operations could be the place for you.

If you're considering a career in logistics you will have a real passion for customer service and lots of energy. Open, effective communication skills are important, as are people who lead by example and can coach and develop others. Safety is our number one priority and we are constantly looking for ways to improve the way we do things.
