Developing Retail Experts - Learn the fundamentals of
retailing
Learn while you earn! A number of our training programmes lead to
National Qualifications. Our people complete National Certificates
in retail, baking, seafood retailing and processing, meat retailing
and in contact centre operations. We are proud of the fact that
from 1 July 2009 all of our supermarket employees can learn the
fundamentals of retailing through our new Supermarket Retailing
Stage One programme designed in conjunction with the Retail
Institute.
Management Trainee Programmes - Learn from the best in the
business
Each year more than 200 Progressive people have the opportunity to
participate in one of our three Management Trainee Programmes. Our
trainees learn from the best in the business. They learn how to
manage departments and whole supermarkets. They learn everything
from delivering customer service, managing people, stock, and
budgets through to providing a safe environment and preventing
loss.
Leaders Developing Leaders - Nurturing our
talent
Our leaders are our future, and that's why all of our current
leaders take great pride in the commitment to developing their
successors. We offer a number of state-of-the-art programmes
ranging from our Personal Leadership programme delivered in
Auckland over six weeks to the Engaging Leaders programme delivered
in Sydney over 18 months.
