Claims
Following is an overview of the various types of claims that can be received by Trade Partners.
Statement of Adjustment
- These types of deductions apply to short delivery, damaged stock, pricing discrepancies, deals, rebates and co-op. (Note SOA price adjustment queries - go to PEL Merchandise)
- Deal claims (rebate and co-op) are sent electronically to Trade Partners along with the Statement of Adjustment.
- Any queries in relation to deal claims should be directed to your Business Manager.
Invoice Matching Discrepancies
- Invoices processed through the PEL invoice processing system (warehouse or electronic direct to store delivery) are matched against purchase order details at time of receipt of the goods.
- If there is a quantity or pricing difference, PEL may process a claim.
- Details of such claims, including the relevant GST amount, are shown on PEL's Statement of Adjustments.
Manual Debit / Credit Note
- Miscellaneous claims for post receipt adjustments (i.e. damaged stock and dated stock).
- The credit note is sent to the Trade Partner from the Transaction Processing Centre for action.
Produce Distribution Centre Credit Notes
- This is an electronic claim raised at time of or post delivery.
- All claims are manually sent to the Trade Partner.
